Mission 10 The News by ~sonia555220:iconsonia555220:

My mission assigned to me was simple, not as deadly as the pervious one. I was to convince a newspaper editor to not leak any Phantom information to Allegiance. I only wish it was easy as it seemed…

"I'm Manda's most important news editor. So what are you going to give me in exchange?" Hydrix asked me, with a confident smirk plastered across her face. I sighed; this wasn't going to go well. "I have nothing in exchange. I was told to do what ever you demand." I replied. "Then take off that hood of yours. I want to see the new member of Phantom." she said, I did what I was told. Hydrix took a good look at me, not changing that irritating smirk.

"You're just a kid. Why would Phantom take you under their wing?" Hydrix asked. I knew what she was getting at. The exchange was to learn everything about me. "I'm older than I look, a lot older. I joined Phantom because I do not agree with our current government." I stated as she took notes. I hope she's not going to tell Allegiance about my personal history. "I'm guessing your mutant blood prolongs your aging. So tell me about your father and mother." Hydrix ordered.

I sighed, learning against the wall. "My father was a scientist who experimented on mutants. My mother as my father had told me, died in childbirth but I believe this is a lie." I said, almost scornfully yet more hindered by sadness. "Why do you think he was lying?" she asked. "I've asked his fellow coworkers about my mother. They simply said that I didn't have a mother and then they coldly laughed about it." I replied rubbing my temples.

"...Are you a clone?" Hydrix asked in a whisper and with an odd frown. "What…?" I asked startled by the question. She simply shook her head and said "Never mind. Forget that I ever asked that question… I don't even know why I'm wasting my time with you. You're pretty boring, nothing exciting." "So are you going to withhold Phantom's information?" I asked. "Yes, as long as you're my servant for the week." she said as the smirk returned to her face. I simply sighed; at least my mission was accomplished.
